I think we can all say that Facebook is one of the most powerful social sites out right now. Having more people than some small countries, I would have to admit that is pretty big. You have so much potential to build relationships with people, you might never meet, but I see a lot of people treating as if it were a swap meet sale. Everybody wants to sell you something, and never even take the time to get to know you. I think this is a big mistake that most people are making out there right now. Facebook could be one of the best tools out there to get your message across, if you do it properly.

First thing you don’t want to do is have a logo of your company in the profile picture. I love Todd Falcone site of Buzzy Boxer, who said its Facebook, Not Logobook. He is right; people want to see your face and who they are doing business with, not the picture of your company’s logo, or product.

Also if you are blasting your business all over your page, and telling people what your company is and thinking that will get you exposure, it won’t. Also if people would be interested in it, they will take your company name put into Google, and see somebody with a site made for it already, and ended up signing with them, because they have a better presence then you did. Either way it’s a bad way to attract people to your opportunity.

I think this one is the worst of all, and that is taking a video, presentation, or a conference call number and tagging into some of the bigger people in the industry, just hoping they will join your company or deal. Believe me if you are doing that, you will get deleted as friend faster, then having them signup in your deal. That is bad in general, and I would never do that. Those people might be just nice of enough to give you a couple minutes of their time, and that could help you turn your business around if it’s not going well.

Last thing I will say, if people see you doing these things, do you think they are thinking to themselves, is this person doing good or bad in their business? I guarantee you; they are thinking this person is not doing well, and if they like your business, they will find somebody on Google who is doing well, and has their stuff together.

I hope this helps people, I really want to see everyone do well in this industry, and there is so many things we can do to make things better for all of us. Remember building a relationship with someone online, and getting to know them, will get a lot further then trying to sell them something the first time you meet them.

It has been amazing vacation away from business and everything else. I have been taking sometime to figure out my new plan for 2010 and what I want to offer as value to others in the Network Marketing Industry. Now I know as you are reading this you are probably thinking that so many people are saying they have some secret for Facebook, and they might have a legitimate claim.

One thing this is not, is some secret on how to make your page look better. These are some things I’m using on a day-to day basis and have been teaching others in my team to do the same and have seen really good results.

Also if you haven’t learn some of the strategies that are out there about getting friends, finding like minded people, and etc. Then you might want to comment on here and I will send you some info on that very thing. This is for people who are doing those things already and they are looking to turn those friends into potential business partners.

Now the one thing you don’t want to do is send people messages about whatever business you’re doing, I see that all the time, and I know that they are not getting results from that. People hate to be solicited, and they will ignore you from that time being even if your business is the greatest in the world.

You need to ask yourself this question, how am I going to be different then the millions of people out there doing the same thing?

I have been in relationship sells for a long time and I have learned something about how people like to be approached throughout that time. First of all people like to be talked to, not sold too. Learn how to build relationships with people, and see what they are into. People love to talk about themselves and want to tell what they accomplished, so listen.

The more you learn how not to sell people things the faster your business will grow, because people will not feel as if they need to guard themselves from you. Facebook is such a great way to meet so many people that you would never be able to meet other wise. Treat that relationship as if it were a personal friend that you knew your whole life.

Now I know you are saying what is the secret, quit rambling right?

The first part to the secret is this, when you see people on, chat with them using this exact tool that I just gave you, and see how people will be more open with you, and be unguarded. Now in the coming days I’m going to record a chat with someone’s permission, and show you some of the questions that I ask to get people to not just look at my business, but have them calling me on a daily basis.

I guarantee if you learn how to do this simple thing, it will help you achieve better results with the people who you are chatting with on Facebook.

I want you to be informed before you make a decision about advertising your MLM Business. I want to present a case not on my opinion, but Facts and Truth. This is the time to start, and to do it right the first time. Read Below….

It doesn’t matter what program you start or are thinking of getting into. You WILL be told that you have to do some advertising of your MLM deal in order to make it work or to get the word out about your program.

Once you begin you will hear your company and your sponsor say to make a LIST of at least 200 names. After that they will tell you take massive action.  Now, Don’t get me wrong this is good, and I have done this myself several times.

Now there are many methods in advertising your business. Most people prefer these days the internet. But I want to caution you. The things that work 5 years ago, might not work today. You really need to know your stuff, like SEO, PPC, Blogging, and etc.

You could lose more than just money when it comes to most types of MLM advertising.

I’ll explain…

Let’s start by saying there are several different forms of advertising. The most obvious one is advertising such as in a newspaper or MLM magazine. This is an offline technique, and you do have a good chance of reaching a large community of people.

Other offline advertising techniques could be as simple as placing flyers on telephone poles in your city. It’s simple and it gets the word out.

Check your cities codes, you don’t want to pay in heavy fines for doing this type of outwardly harmless MLM advertising.

You could go the route of advertising in magazines and other offline publications and newspapers.

I’ve done it and it can get expensive very quickly – even when you advertise in those penny newspapers and free newspapers. The costs add up very quickly and you most likely will get a very limited return for your investment.

But don’t get me wrong here. There are others that have done this and it helped them, but I personally haven’t seen it in a long time.

Well, go ahead and try it. But buyer beware that there are many more unobserved factors involved with MLM advertising than just repeating what they did.

Now with the internet being used more each year, I’m pretty sure most people have switch mostly to that method in place of this. We went from paper articles, to internet newspapers, and you can place ad-after-ad for free. Especially the age of social networking at all time high.


Success with MLM Advertising Involves More Than Just Placing an MLM Ad


It involves…

  • proper wording
  • correct timing
  • marketable product
  • changing people’s perceptions of MLM
  • also learning how to approach people who respond to your add

You can get tons of people responding to your MLM ad but if you’re too frightened to call them back and talk to them about your product, or you are nervous with them on the phone – why would they join you?

They won’t, so get books and learn to be leader. If you’re not, “act as if”. All that means is; act as if it was your company and you had all of the confidence in the world for your success.

Also if you can get an MLM advertising expert’s advice, do it. Even some MLM advertising experts may have achieved their success several years ago.  There are still gold nuggets to glean, and a lot of useful information and training about MLM advertising. Why? Because most of this advertising stuff doesn’t change much and can still help you.

I know you’ve read in many places about the countless success stories that one can now expect to obtain by advertising online on free ad sites or through using MLM banner ads. This is ringing more true than ever these days.

They are many lead capture pages or squeeze page systems out there; they are sales funnels, auto responders, and etc. Just make sure you do your research.

And this type of MLM advertising can be track, and tested to see what is working and what’s not working.

Using free search engine advertising works if you have time to wait. It’s working for me because I’ve set up my websites to work with the engines. I’m getting plenty of MLM visitors and they’re targeted too.

Science behind MLM advertising; particularly working the Online system.


Many companies spends millions of dollars each year to do their advertising,  and they’ve spent in some cases several decades to learn and change with the times and to prove what works best in today’s advertising marketplace.

Richard Brooke once tell how he placed an ad that he wrote for his MLM business in a local paper. I think it was for a Chicago paper back in about 1980. His ad was a quarter-page ad, so it wasn’t too hard to miss. He placed it in the inside page of the sports section of the paper on the day one of the biggest US sports-event announcement’s of the year was to be made.

He spent $4,000 for the ad, and Remember, this is a big budget in the 1980’s. What’s do you think that4K would be worth today?… $20,000 maybe $50,000?

The paper had a readership of about 2 million people and Richard figured that even with 1/100th of one percent of a response that he would still make out like a bandit.

Well… guess what? He didn’t receive one response. Not one.

He laughs, but I would grieve if it was me. Its a good thing that now he can educate others on his success and failures.
Research…Research… and learn all that you can about MLM advertising before you jump into any expensive MLM advertising endeavor. Why? Also this can be a costly mistake of time and money. Lose hope in the MLM industry and even yourself.

Remember this if you quit, you have really failed. If you continue to fail, you have really succeeded. Don’t quit and continue to learn from your mistakes.
Do whatever you can to first learn about MLM advertising. Why? So that you go into it informed and make good decisions based on facts and truth. Not on emotions and hope.
