The MLM Battlefield Within

Posted by: | Comments (3)

MLM Battlefield Within is a real thing.

This thought came to me after reading my daily leadership thought of the day by John C. Maxwell. It got me thinking about the battlefield that we face within while building our home-base business. Sometimes we don’t realize it but there is war waging on the inside of us, and it’s for our freedom. I guarantee if you look at any top earner, and you can tell that they won the battle on the inside, which is shows on the outside.

So what is the MLM Battlefield within, you might be asking?

I believe building a network marketing business is one of the hardest things to do. I believe it will expose us to all of our weakest points in our own character. It will reveal to us if we really want what we say on the outside with our mouth, but do we believe on the inside. I want to give you some ammunition to combat this real MLM Battlefield Within.

Some people might not even know that they are at war on the inside but let me paint some real world examples that people go through, and even myself on daily basis.

You have a day off from your job and you wake up in the morning, and your drinking your coffee as you reflect and think about the day. You think to yourself I should make some calls today and get some people in front of my business today, or go meet with so-and-so. Soon as you have that thought, another thought creeps in aka “MLM Battlefield Within  You think to yourself I don’t get many days off, I think I’m going to relax today.

You setup a time on your calendar kids are outside playing for the next couple hours and you told yourself I’m going to pick up the phone and makes these calls. My WHY is big enough and if it’s going to get done, it’s up to me. You positive talk yourself all up, and then BOOM aka “MLM Battlefield Within” kicks in, and that fear grips you. The what if kicks in. What if they don’t like it, What if they think I’m crazy ant etc. All of sudden the phone looks like it weights 500lbs and you don’t make one call.

These are just a couple of examples I could tell you more, but you get were I’m going. Me and you both struggle with this war that is waging on the inside of us. But I’m sure you must be thinking right now there needs to be a light at the end of the tunnel, how did we win this battle. I don’t think there is any one answer, but I do believe there are some things you can do to combat it,

Things we can do to win the MLM Battlefield Within

When you get the urge to do something and  aka “MLM Battlefield Within” kicks in. You need to immediately respond and do what you set out to do. You said you were going to make the calls, and the fear kicks in; do it anyway. Key is to break the habit. Do the exact opposite and shock your brain by doing it anyway. The key is to break the habits that we are setting everyday and we might not even know it.

You need to read and take time everyday to personally developed you as a person. If you wonder why you are not succeeding, it’s probably because you are not taking time to eliminate those battles on the inside aka “MLM Battlefield Within” We need to personally develop daily in our skills, character, and etc.

You have the ability today to make a change, and it’s never too late to start. Go back and look at post I did were Wayne Dyer helps see those misconceptions in the way we see our-self. This is great article that will help wage war on aka “MLM Battlefield Within

Please like and share this with people on your team to help them wage war on the “MLM Battlefield Within”

It’s funny how even children’s books can teach you a lot about yourself and this wonderful industry we call

Network Marketing. I was watching Horton Hears A Who this weekend. It actually is a great movie filled with wonderful metaphors of life.

That brings me to my question I have in the title. What does Dr Seuss and MLM have in common?

He had a way of teaching people that everybody mater, even in Horton Hears a who. There was line in the  movie were says “A Person is A Person no matter how small.” -Dr Seuss

Sometimes we get so caught up on the idea that it’s about me, when really it’s about people. You might be able to fool some people, but you never will fool leaders. Your business will never get any real traction, because people know that you don’t care about them.

5 Things You Can Learn from Dr Seuss

1.) People want to feel special. I remember when I was younger working at Walgreens. They had a policy of the 7 C’s they called them. I remember one of the managers just saying to me, smile and say I hope your having a wonderful day. It was amazing to see people light up, I never forgot that, and wake up everyday asking myself how can I bless somebody’s life today.

2.) Be Yourself. Your the only one that knows how to be you. quit trying to be like everybody else. Copying this guru, talking like this person, and etc. Just be who God made you to be, you are special, because He made you and there is nobody else like it. You are unique even down to your fingerprints.

3.) Reading books is important to your success. If you want to be a leader you must read. So many people want the easy way in life, and want to take all the shortcuts to success. Well there is no shortcuts, there is no easy button, and there is no easy way to success. Reading is important to growing as person, growing into a leader, and getting the success you want out of life.

4.) You’re on your own. Comes down to you making a decision when you just do it. It’s only you that can turn on the switch in your life. I hope you quit blaming your company, blaming the product, blaming your upline, and etc. Lets stop being a victim, lets start being victorious in life. Tell yourself today I will not stand by and wait for someone to do it for me, I’m going to do it myself.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own.And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” – Dr Seuss

5.) Trying is the name of the game. Quit second guessing yourself all the time. So many people say only if I could do this better or do that better I would succeed in MLM. Well do it, quit talking about it. If you want to be a better prospector, learn from people like Tom Challan and Ray Higdon. Want to be better at internet marketing, then find the best and learn from them. Want to learn how to get over fears of talking to people, then go out and find books on how to do that and apply what you read.

No more excuses in 2012, you get a clean slate. No more thinking I would, should, could have done this in 2011. It’s over lets rock 2012 and Thank Dr Seuss for all the wisdom he provides us.

I guess reading these books growing up really did help me more then I could have imagined. I hope this will do the same for you. Praying for your success in 2012.

John C. Maxwell on behaviour

Posted by: | Comments (1)

I think John C. Maxwell is one of the most celebrated authors in 21 century when it comes to idea of leadership.

I have read most of his books and I’m currently reading one now. John C. Maxwell talks about the idea that everybody knows how to communicate, but really people struggling with the idea of really connecting.

Let this quote by John C. Maxwell sink into your thoughts and help you see that changing your thinking is not enough, but becoming the person you want to be is the key. So many people want to feel changed instead of just acting changed. Leadership is a daily process, learn to become it everyday.

“As you begin changing your thinking, start immediately to change your behaviour. Begin to act the part of the person you would like to become. Take action on your behaviour. Too many people want to feel, then take action. This never works.” John C. Maxwell

John C. Maxwell on Behaviour, watch video below.

what do you think of that John C. Maxwell video?

I’m truly amazed how sometimes we complicate some of the simplest things. We grew up going to school most of our life and you think we would have this one nailed. But John C. Maxwell has to make a video to teach people about behaviour. I guess sometimes it just seems ironic to me.

Why do we have to learn the hard way sometimes?

We have so much leadership material available to us, but we continue to do a lot of the same things over and over again. It’s time we take this video by John C. Maxwell to heart and learn how to be great.
